Meta Software Engineer, CoreML - GenAI in Bellevue, Washington

Summary:

Meta is seeking an AI specialist to join our AI Platform team. We are looking for recognized experts in GenAI and NLP, with experience in areas like LLM training and evaluation, explainable AI, multimodal modeling.

Required Skills:

Software Engineer, CoreML - GenAI Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of LLM-based solutions that may involve re-train, fine-tune or prompting optimization partnering with our research team

  2. Explore multi-modal solution leveraging text input and other signals for various use cases

  3. Directly contribute to experiments, including designing experimental details, writing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. Masters in computer science or Machine Learning, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  3. 5+ years of industry, academic or government laboratory experience.

  4. Experience in training, fine-tuning, and/or experimenting with foundation models beyond black-box use.

  5. Familiarity with one or more deep learning frameworks (e.g. pytorch, tensorflow, …)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. High-impact publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML), as witnessed by citations and other signs of influencing the research community.

  2. Direct experience in Generative AI and LLM research

  3. Experience with low level engineering (C++, C, Rust or CUDA)

  4. Experience in developing and maintaining codebases

Public Compensation:

$85.10/hour to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
