Required Skills:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Design core, backend software components, and code.

  2. Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.

  3. Conduct design and code reviews, and analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.

  4. Build large-scale server applications.

  5. Develop and debug code.

  6. Background working with software operating system internals, file systems, programming language design, and compilers to complete software engineering for assigned projects.

  7. Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Experience must include 24 months of experience in the following:

    1. C, C++, C#, or Java
    1. Python, PHP, or Haskell
    1. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
    1. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
    1. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
    1. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction
    1. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems and
    1. Distributed systems.

Public Compensation:

$169,442/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
