Meta Global Risk Operations Manager [Africa, Middle-East and Turkey] in Dublin, Ireland

Summary:

Global Risk Operations (GRO) Mission is to advocate for and protect every person, community, and business from risk.The Global Risk Operations SEO (Specialized Enforcement Operations) team is an operational team in GRO seeking an individual with extensive operational leadership experience to join either our Middle-East or Africa team.The SEO team specifically focuses on high priority, complex and regulatory enforcement demand, where our systems or scaled solutions need specialized support. SEO team is flexible and agile, bringing enforcement expertise that can be deployed to shifting priorities and dynamic emergent situations, necessitating local context, language, policy, community or functional expertise.The successful candidate will support either the Middle-East team or the Africa Team on advocating and protecting the community through content review and enforcement as well as collaborating across the organization to advocate for the community’s needs.

Required Skills:

Global Risk Operations Manager [Africa, Middle-East and Turkey] Responsibilities:

  1. Clearly represents and advocates for the community’s needs through risk assessments and provides integrity recommendations and directions on the best course forward using operational, risk, policy and contextual awareness into the decision making.

  2. Leads and mentors the SEO MENA or SSA team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence and drive delivery on a few projects across regions and business groups.

  3. Sets and deploys clear expectations and goals for individuals and the team and holds them and self accountable for success.

  4. Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution.

  5. Facilitates execution with speed and simplicity, meeting core operational KPI’s, while making balanced and prioritized decisions that maximize impact while minimizing cost (people, time, resources).

  6. Influences outcomes in cross functional teams focused on productivity and value delivery.

  7. Contributes to the internal community through leading organizational efforts to build and sustain diversity, culture, recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and/or development programs

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5-6 years of experience in Operations Management with a record in delivering business value using strong process/project management practices in technology operations/trust and safety space.

  2. 3+ years of people management experience including management of senior individual contributors and ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  3. Experience leading large, diverse and geographically dispersed operations organizations, specifically in workflow management, user support and project management.

  4. Experience in a fast-paced environment and in leading through ambiguity and change.

  1. Contextual knowledge of the Middle East or Africa with practical operational and work experience there.

  2. Language skills (Fluent in Arabic or one of the African Languages).
