Summary:

The Infrastructure Design team creates products that empower everyone at Facebook to connect the world. As a Product Designer in the Monitoring and Observability team under Data Infrastructure you will be responsible for empowering engineers to effortlessly improve reliability at Meta through operational data.You own an entire Detection workflow that is broad and ambiguous in scope and encompasses multiple products and features. Given a high-level problem, you deliver concrete end-to-end solutions that help define a product vision. Your product team will rely on you throughout the whole process, from defining roadmaps to figure out the path forward to working on details with engineers before launch. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product, interaction and visual design skills.This position is full-time and based in London.

Product Designer Responsibilities:

  1. Take broad and ambiguous problems and turn them into delightful products that help everyone at Facebook to connect the world

  2. Design interfaces that are incredibly simple, elegant, and efficient to use

  3. Contribute and drive high-level strategic decisions within the product and executive teams

  4. Partner with product managers, engineers, and user researchers to oversee the development of a product from problem definition, concepting to launch (and then some)

  5. Help the overall product design team to continually raise the bar for quality for product thinking and interaction design

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Ability to solve real user problems and keep them in mind throughout the whole process.

  2. You are proactive and know how to help yourself (and others) to be successful.

  3. Communication skills and the ability to persuade stakeholders.

  4. Experience developing ecosystems and not just features.

  5. Ability to iterate quickly through different fidelity states for your solutions (sketches, wireframes, prototypes)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years designing digital products inside cross-functional teams

  2. Experience working in a technical environment

  3. Experience utilizing research and data to drive product strategy and decision making

  4. 2+ years of strategic product thinking and vision experience

  5. A portfolio of work that demonstrates a breadth of user experience and how you contributed throughout the process
