Meta Application Manager, Purchasing in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Meta’s Enterprise Product team is responsible for building integrated, scalable, and robust enterprise applications. We are currently looking for an experienced, insightful, forward-thinking purchasing application SME with a strong ability to design and execute products that power the enterprise. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in reimagining productivity by shipping transformative products that serve the purchasing function within Meta.

Required Skills:

Application Manager, Purchasing Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a key member of the Enterprise Products Spend team group to help define and deliver complex purchasing and procurement strategies, roadmaps and solutions from procure-to-pay standpoint

  2. Understand and implement Fusion Purchasing data models, write Fusion BIP reports and complex SQL queries (Oracle/MySQL)

  3. Design, develop and maintain scalable and reliable purchasing systems using metrics that drive key decisions

  4. Understand the functional and technical requirements of our partners and work closely with internal technical teams to provide guidance on activities that will impact our purchasing flows

  5. Ability to think beyond out of box product capabilities to build efficient and scalable solutions to manage complex and diverse procurement use cases

  6. Perform data analysis to troubleshoot data issues and fix underlying bugs / root causes

  7. Participate in source control and code review process

  8. Provide expertise from an accounts payable process perspective

  9. Communicate effectively with internal customers, enabling informed decision making within the team

  10. Own, direct and manage a team of managed service providers to swiftly resolve support issues ensuring application health and reliability.

  11. Track key application metrics, drive insights and build dashboards to measure results against goals

  12. Identify risks within the business function, deliver clear documentation, and work directly with vendor support for escalations

  13. Analyze issues of moderate complexity addressing configuration, implementation, and function or process fails

  14. Develop and maintain a well-coordinated internal relationship with key decision makers and with the wider enterprise engineering organization

  15. Lead/Support all business readiness activities including end user training, product testing, controls readiness and roll-outs

  16. Work with Meta’s partner Vendor/OEMs and influence their roadmaps to deliver a best in class experience for Meta

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. 5+ years of relevant work experience as a procure-to-pay expert with hands-on experience in configuring, implementing and scaling Procurement systems for global organizations

  3. 2+ years of experience in driving complex projects and products

  4. 2+ years of experience working on data models with hands-on SQL experience to write queries and perform data analysis

  5. 1+ years of experience designing applications and creating examples through wireframes and mockups

  6. Knowledge of end-to-end procurement process, including supplier onboarding, RFX, Invoicing, OCR, and payment

  7. Knowledge of Off the Shelf ERP product such as Oracle Purchasing

Public Compensation:

$140,000/year to $195,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
