Required Skills:

Machine Learning Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Research, design and develop new algorithms and mathematical techniques to improve the efficiency and performance of Meta's platforms.

  2. Gather data for machine-learning training and train new ranking models and run computational experiments.

  3. Identify potential improvements in company's software and technology products through data analysis and mathematical modeling.

  4. Research and present effects of current engineering efforts on Meta's market standing from an economic and game-theoretic point of view.

  5. Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rules based models.

  6. Suggest, collect and synthesize data requirements and create effective feature technology and computer product roadmap.

  7. Build pragmatic, scalable, and statistically rigorous solutions to mission critical inferential and decision problems by leveraging or developing state of the art statistical and machine learning.

  8. Monitor and review current academic and industrial research and apply relevant research ideas towards engineering projects through programming implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a mathematics-related occupation. Experience must include 36 months of experience in the following:

    1. Python programming
    1. Deep learning
    1. Conducting Big data processing and analysis using modern frameworks (PySpark, Apache Spark, and Scikit-learn)
    1. Solving analytical problems by developing mathematical/statistical models (Neural network, Logistic Regression, and Decision-Trees)
    1. Gathering, manipulating, and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
    1. Communicating complex research in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
    1. Devising better data-driven models of human behavior.

Public Compensation:

$214,032/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
