Meta Strategic Partner Manager, Payment Partnerships in Miami, Florida

Summary:

The Global Payments Partnerships team is responsible for developing and managing relationships with companies that provide critical payment services for our business lines, as well as partners who enable new commerce and payment experiences on our platform. We’re looking for a Strategic Partner Manager to help us develop and execute our payments partnerships strategy with industry partners, such as payment networks, processors, and issuers in the EMEA region.In this role you will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, marketing, operations, finance, and tax to launch new and evolve existing payments partnership opportunities for Meta. You’ll work directly with top industry partners to negotiate and close deals.We are seeking a candidate with a strategic perspective on both product and partnership development, and a proven ability to influence and negotiate both externally and internally. Proven experience in monitoring and managing all KPIs on the payment lifecycle and ability to leverage partnerships to improve payments performance metrics. The candidate should be comfortable with technical and financial deal points, and able to effectively communicate up and down a management ladder. The candidate should also be excited by the challenge of structuring custom agreements and new templates for initiatives. Additionally, they should enjoy a team-oriented environment, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Skills:

Strategic Partner Manager, Payment Partnerships Responsibilities:

  1. Provide subject matter expertise to product and engineering teams, delivering critical business insights and launching strategic initiatives.

  2. Proactively recommend payment solutions that support payment innovation and optimization.

  3. Research emerging trends / best practices to determine implications of proposed payment solutions.

  4. Stay updated on the EMEA ever-evolving digital payments landscape, such as mobile wallets, digital wallets, open banking, tokenization and bank payments to identify potential partnerships

  5. Keep abreast of regulatory changes assessing the need to create or update existing policy and procedures, ie PSD2, GDPR, PSR etc.

  6. Monitoring and influencing industry-wide payments change activities and successfully managing those changes internally, specifically for the EMEA region.

  7. Write business cases for new initiatives.

  8. Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal issues.

  9. Structure complex agreements that include custom commercials, technical integrations, data protection and privacy.

  10. Help teams choose and sequence the best partners for our products.

  11. Supervise and drive decision-making on all agreement mechanics.

  12. Ability to travel from 10%-30% depending on project status.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS or BA Degree.

  2. 8+ years of payments experience in product, partnerships and business development, or equivalent.

  3. Payments experience with digital merchants.

  4. Understanding and experience in the EMEA markets.

  5. Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills and relationship building experience with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers.

  6. Experience with payments and technology products.

  2. 8+ years of experience influencing, managing and coaching partners, and structuring and negotiating complex agreements.

  3. MBA or JD degree.

Public Compensation:

$159,000/year to $223,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
