Meta Antenna Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Summary:

Meta Reality Labs group is looking for an Antenna Engineer to join our wireless team for AR/MR products. As an Antenna Engineer at Meta, you will be responsible for antenna performance specification, design, simulations, prototyping, implementation, passive performance test, OTA test and leading the antenna design through various development stages of the program. You will engage with world class talents from internal cross-functional teams and external partners to bring wireless products from concept to market.

Required Skills:

Antenna Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for antenna design, implementation and verification throughout a product design cycle.

  2. Responsible for antenna matching circuit design, antenna passive and active performance by computer simulation and lab validation.

  3. Perform board level and product level EM simulations for best-in-class radio performance, spatial co-existence and emissions.

  4. Partner with internal cross-functional team and external JDM/CM to successfully bring wireless product to market.

  5. Support EMI/EMC troubleshooting, and product certification.

  6. Support domestic/international travel to achieve program milestones.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years years of experience in antenna design for consumer electronic

  2. Experience with RF lab equipment for RF device and antenna characterization as well as system performance validation, such as SAR, TRP and TIS.

  3. Experience in EM simulation software, such as CST, HFSS.

  4. Experience with antenna/wireless system architecture and multi-radio coexistence mechanism.

  5. Hands on with antenna tuning and measurement with VNA and anechoic chamber system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MS or PhD in Antenna/RF/Electromagnetics.

  2. 5+ years of experience in antenna design for consumer electronics.

  3. Experience with Cellular, GNSS, WiFi/BT, and other wireless technologies.

  4. Familiar with regulatory requirements (FCC, CE, etc.).

  5. mmWave phased array design experience.

  6. Tunable antenna experience.

  7. Familiarity with basic layout tool usage and PCB fabrication.

  8. Coding skill for data analysis and test equipment automation, i.e. MATLAB, Python/

Public Compensation:

$129,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
