Meta Process Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Join the adventure of a lifetime as we make science fiction real and change the world. As a Process Engineer at Meta, you will play a critical role in developing AR/VR systems. You will focus on developing advanced materials and devices for near eye displays and will become part of a team exploring novel concepts through design, modeling, and fast iterative prototyping. We are seeking someone who works well in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, who communicates complex concepts clearly and succinctly, who demonstrates scientific rigor, who is unafraid to tackle new challenges, and who works well in highly ambiguous discovery phases.

Required Skills:

Process Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Lead polymer film process development.

  2. Develop polymer film electric treatment processes including poling and deposition.

  3. Characterize polymer films including mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties.

  4. Conduct module-level characterization including electrical, mechanical, and optical.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. degree or equivalent experience in the field of Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.

  2. 2+ years of industry experience in the field of Process Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Organic Chemistry.

  3. Experience with polymer process and characterization.

  4. Experience with corona treatment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record of delivering research to product.

  2. Experience of optical materials.

  3. Experience with laser safety.

  4. Experience with high voltage safety.

Public Compensation:

$111,000/year to $164,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
