Meta Network Engineer, Deployment & Support in Sandston, Virginia

Required Skills:

Network Engineer, Deployment & Support Responsibilities:

  1. Support and implement Meta's production network infrastructure in the data center.

  2. Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair of network hardware, software, and network circuits.

  3. Perform network maintenance including hardware and software upgrades, migrations, decommissioning, and capacity upgrades.

  4. Manage and update work assignments through internal task tools and repair ticketing systems.

  5. Maintain asset database and related documentation for installed network infrastructure.

  6. Work cross-functionally to plan and execute projects and coordinate operational incidents.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Foreign equivalent accepted. Experience must include 6 months involving the following:

    1. UNIX/Linux
    1. TCP/IP network fundamentals
    1. Network design
    1. Network management
    1. Network troubleshooting and analytics.

Public Compensation:

$125,445/year to $156,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
