Meta Firmware Engineer in Shenzhen, China

We are seeking a Firmware Engineer who has a passion for working across disciplines to turn early cutting edge concepts and technologies into shipping products. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for firmware design and bringup on cutting edge hardware targeted for both prototypes and shipping consumer products.

Required Skills:

Firmware Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-system firmware development to include initial bring-up and driver development on bare-metal/RTOS/Linux platforms

  2. Develop robust processes for validating hardware and system integration

  3. Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot hardware issues

  4. Collaborate in a team environment across multiple, product focused, research, and engineering disciplines, making the architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly deliver firmware solutions

  5. Support failure analysis during engineering build in factory

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

  2. Experience with driver and board-level system software development

  3. Experience with board bring up and systems debugging

  4. Experience with ARM based processors, microcontrollers and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.

  5. Experience with debugging tools such as bus analyzers

  6. Experience with protocol design, specification, and implementation

  7. Experience debugging and problem solving in code bases and environments

  8. Proficiency in both verbal and written/read English skills.

  9. Experience with factory on-site SW/FW support, working to unblock manufacturing issues with XFN teams.

  10. Travel is required for this role (>25%, based on project schedule).
